Dhaval Kothari: Multilingual Indian Vocalist

A young vocalist from Indore, India, Dhaval Kothari has been singing since he was ten years old.

He sings popular Bollywood covers, devotional Indian aartis, Gujarati and Punjabi folktales, and original songs that blend Hindi lyrics with Western instrumentation. Dhaval’s songs are all accompanied by music videos that he shares with his sizable YouTube following. These popular and very elegant productions that showcase his vocal talent have had more than 8 million cumulative views!

While YouTube lets Dhaval connect with a geographically dispersed audience, it's important to him that he perform for live audiences as well. He has traveled to Spain, Australia, and many cities across India and performed for audiences that number in the thousands.

Because of his exposure to diverse cultures, Dhaval is passionate about experimenting with different styles of music and promoting Indian music to wider audiences. This led him to create Dhaval Music Foundation, an organization that aims to promote Indian music, art, and artists by organizing workshops, festivals, and seminars.

The experience he gained through these foundation events inspired him to organize and perform at the Indo Flamenco Concert in Valencia, Spain. He was in Valencia for a year while earning his masters degree at the Berklee College of Music. Being at Berklee also gave him the opportunity to perform with the esteemed Berklee Indian Ensemble and Berklee India Exchange.

We are so pleased that Dhaval is partnering with Vivaio Records to bring his music to western audiences. Welcome Dhaval!
