"Not Lonely" Makes a Move onto Independent Playlists

Updated: Jun 11, 2019

Starting strong on independent playlists, "Not Lonely" is climbing the ladder. A big Shoutout to Spinnup, Shareiff, Stopify, and Sora Music. Thanks for sharing Sam's music with your followers!

Once a song performs well on independent and user playlists, the Spotify algorithm will register the traction and the songs will miraculously become a visible dot on the radar of Spotify’s editorial curators. That’s why it is great to make it onto these independent playlists.

Spinnup Presents is a composite playlist of songs by artists either signed to or distributed by Spinnup. This playlist of 65 songs has an international roster with artists hailing from around the globe. The music is equally diverse, drawn from genres like rap, pop, edm, and rock.

New Friday Top Hits is a popular Shareiff playlist with 29k followers. Genres include edm, pop, house, progressivehouse and tracestep. The 50 different artists are typically from the US, the UK, EU countries, Canada, and Russia.

Stopify is a Spotify curator with 11 playlists; Favorite Trnd, with 44 songs, is one of them. The music is predominantly pop, edm, and indie poptimism, making it a very danceable, lively and energetic playlist. Roughly a quarter the artists on this playlist are from the US, a little less than a quarter from Canada, another quarter from the UK, and the rest from New Zealand and EU countries.

Sora Music's playlist Supreme is fairly tame with only 30 songs on it. This "supreme beats for supreme beings" playlist has pop, edm, acrobats, R&B, azontobeats, rap, afropop, house, and azonto songs on it. More than two-thirds of the artists represented are from the US or UK and the rest are primarily from Europe.
